Community Booth

The Community Booth is a dedicated space where you can meet with various PostgreSQL community members and participate in informal sessions throughout the conference.

Wednesday, May 14^th

• Build Postgres on your laptop

  If you wanted to start hacking on Postgres source code - bring your laptop, let's do it together. I'll give some simple ideas if you do not know where to start.

• Talking about talking

  Come and talk to us about any aspect of speaking at conferences: Have an idea for a talk in your head and want to turn it into an abstract? Want someone to listen to you rehearse your talk? Need some encouragement to submit your first ever talk? Wondering if you should submit a lightning talk? (Spoiler: yes, you should). Want some help transforming your current work into a talk? There will be experienced speakers and selection committee members on hand to help.

• PGDG Volunteer Opportunities

  Interested in volunteering for the PostgreSQL Project, but don't know where to start? Meet us at the Community Booth to find out the many opportunities for becoming involved! While there is plenty of code to write, there are multiple roles which don't require any technical knowledge at all. Whatever your skills and interests, we have a role for you!

  PostgreSQL can sometimes be seen in the exhibition halls of various events networking with other communities and passing out swag. This session covers the volunteer effort that makes this happen including:

Poster Session

Explore the Poster Session showcasing various PostgreSQL-related work and projects. The posters will be displayed throughout the conference, allowing attendees to view them at their convenience and engage in in-depth discussions with the authors.
